- Soap lathers properly, so you use noticeably less of it
- Glassware comes out of the dishwasher clear instead of cloudy
- Shower doors and fixtures stop crusting over between cleans
- Skin feels less tight and hair less brittle — usually within a week
- Your water heater stops scaling, which is where the long-term money is
Reviews
Softener installs, in their words
“Kaleb had worked on a previous shower remodel at our house & we were so impressed with him that we called Good Bros for some plumbing issues with our rental property. He is knowledgeable, professional & punctual. We will definitely call again with any plumbing issues! Thanks!”
“On time and Kaleb was very respectful. Just a great job and company.”
“Kalob and his team did an outstanding job and quick as well. Thursday I noticed our toilets were back filling (not overflowing thank goodness). Tried plunging but it wasn’t doing anything. I checked the outside service pipe and saw that the water was almost up to the ground level. Experiencing a similar thing at my previous home I knew something was clogged further down the sewer line. Kalob came out to snake the line all the way to the main sewer line. What he found out was a chunk of the pipe was missing near the main sewer so the sewage was seeping into the ground. Could definitely smell it. He gave me the quote same day and I approved the work. Saturday morning him and his team came out and repaired the broken part of the pipe. While doing the repair he discovered that the fiber company installed their fiber lines directly through the sewer line. We’ve only moved in a month ago so there’s no way we would have known. I am please with the work he did and we no longer have the sewer issue and no longer have a hole in the lawn. I didn’t understand the hole when we purchased the home, I just thought maybe a big rock or chuck of concrete was removed at some point. Thank you Kalob and Good Bro’s Plumbing for the immediate high quality work which prevented this from being an even worse issue!! I’ll definitely recommend your company to anyone I know that needs your expertise and will use you again in the future if I need it!!”
Questions
Softener FAQs
What size water softener do I need in Lake Aluma?
Size is driven by two things: how hard your water is and how much of it your household uses. Our Standard is 48,000 grains and suits most three to four bedroom homes; the XL is 64,000 and the Dual Tank is 96,000. We size it from your actual test result and household, not from square footage alone.
Will a softener fix the taste of my Lake Aluma water?
Partly. Our whole-home systems pair softening resin with coconut-shell carbon, so they take out chlorine along with the hardness — and chlorine is usually what people are tasting. For drinking water specifically, reverse osmosis goes considerably further.
Do water softeners waste a lot of water?
A softener regenerates periodically and uses water to do it. Our ProValve offers metered regeneration, which means it only regenerates when it has actually processed enough water to need to, rather than on a fixed timer. That's a meaningful difference in both salt and water use.
How much salt will I go through?
It depends on your hardness and usage. Most households top up the brine tank every one to two months. If you'd rather avoid salt entirely, our salt-free conditioner prevents scale without it — though it conditions rather than softens, and we'll be straight with you about that difference.
